With so many new home builders available to build your home, it can be very difficult to tell them apart. At Exactus Homes, we have particular skills that we bring to the construction of new homes in Perth, which appeal to our clients.

Innovative construction methods

Western Australia can be quite a traditional and conservative market when it comes to construction methods. Traditionally Perth has been a double-brick market because a few decades ago there was a very persuasive advertising campaign from the brick manufacturers to drive fear of termites. The Perth building industry is geared up to deliver double-brick, but we believe there’s a better way.

Timber frame construction doesn’t eliminate the strength of bricks, it applies them to the external walls as a cladding, or, alternative cladding methods can be used.

Our preferred construction method is timber frame with a brick veneer or innovative cladding product. This is the methodology used to build homes all over the World, including NSW, Victoria, Queensland and even Down South in Western Australia. A timber frame home opens up an enormous range of design options. There’s a huge range of modern cladding that looks contemporary and attractive. The latest products are completely fire safe (we even took a blow torch to one sample, and it wouldn’t catch on fire!) and long lasting.

Flexible design options

We don’t have an in-house design team, which means we can work with a range of building designers. From architects to draftspeople, we have relationships with many talented individuals who can create a custom home design.

Alternatively, you can engage your own building designer, and we can provide an estimate to build your new home. However, a word of warning: in our experience even the best intentioned architects often struggle to achieve a design that meets a budget!

At Exactus Homes, we work in partnership with our (or your) designer, to achieve both a new home design and a budget that you are delighted with.

Full service builder

Many building companies talk about service. To us, service means being available to take your call, to answer your questions straight away, and to make your life easier.

Service also means being accommodating. At Exactus Homes, if you change your mind about something, we will be happy to try and change to meet your needs. Many builders will not permit this as it slows their processes.

Part of our service is being cognisant of your needs. If you need to be in your new home by a certain date, we will do whatever it takes to meet your deadline.

We’re patient not pushy

We work with prospective clients for sometimes many months, finalising a design and a budget that they are happy with. As a new home is such a major investment, it’s important to take the time to get it right.

At Exactus Homes, we’re patient and understanding throughout this process, and won’t ask you to sign on the dotted line before you’re ready.

Building homes with pride

Our slogan is ‘built with pride’, and we believe in high quality and attention to detail.

Giving great attention to detail is something the team at Exactus Homes strives to do in every aspect of construction, evident in this timber staircase with glass balustrade and a feature timber screen.

We have a group of trusted tradespeople that we rely on to also build with pride. Anyone that doesn’t live up to this commitment, won’t last long on our sites.

When it comes to the supply of building materials, fixtures and fittings, our preference is for high quality, reliable components from reputable suppliers. That way, the building process is smoother, the final look is better, and if anything is to go wrong, it’s backed up by people who care.

Consequently, our new homes do not fit in the ‘cheap’ category, and are generally in the range of $400,000 – 900,000.

Highly skilled

Building a new home is a far more straightforward process than a renovation or a home extension. The skill level of the owner and Registered Builder at Exactus Homes, Ralph Brewer, is extremely high and he has overseen construction of extremely complex new home builds. A qualified builder and carpenter, Ralph has managed a breadth of home constructions over his two decades in the building industry. These range from extreme sloping sites over seven levels, to superior, tri-level riverfront luxury properties in Perth.
